Bill Frost of Drivertek International
Bill has spent 35 years working in the road transport industry, from a driver to owning his own transport company.
He has been involved fuel efficiency work for the NZ trucking industry since 1984 on a parttime research basis and fulltime since 1999. He specilises in attaining fuel efficient and safety conscious drivers to the highest standard possible.
Also in training and assessing drivers to achieve the various classes of driving licences including Classes 12345, Dangerous Goods, Forklift, Wheels, Tracks and Roller, Passenger and Vehicle recovery endorsements and other driving qualifications for commercial applications. He is also an AA approved defensive driving instructor and an approved driving assessor for the New Zealand Road Transport and Logistics ITO. All of their courses are LTSA approved and to NZQA unit standards.
His involvement in fuel efficiency training and research began in 1984 with the employment of his first company driver and he has been working with Dr Coyle in this field since 1999. Recently Drivertek International Ltd and IMISE Ltd formed a strategic alliance as they realised their specific skills could help form a formidable team especially in the fields of safety and fuel efficiency
Drivertek are also involved in designing and building National Qualifications and assessment material for the International Freight Forwarding Industry, Project Management, Online Learning, Road Safety, Certified Pilot Operations, Road Transport Law, Occupational Heath and Safety consulting, Trauma Counseling and Crash Investigation
Dr Michael Coyle of IMISE Limited
Michael Coyle has more than 25 years experience in the transport industry. He has worked as a vehicle technician, Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) driver, lecturer in motor vehicle studies, depot manager, project manager and driver training executive. Academically he has a teaching qualification, a BSc (Hons) in Transport and Distribution, a MSc in Operational Research and his PhD was based upon improving the fuel efficiency of LGV fleets. Since completing his PhD he has established his own research, consultancy and training company – IMISE Limited.
Michael is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA), Member of the Institute of Logistics and Transport (MILT), Member of the Operational Research Society, Registered as Incorporated Engineer (IEng) and a Member of the Society of Operations Engineers professional division The Institute of Road Transport Engineers (MSOE, MIRTE).
Together they form a formidable alliance as independent Transport Industry Analysts
and especially in the field of Safety and Fuel Efficiency.
