How can Drivertek International ltd help with my rising fuel costs?

If you are a company we can help in many ways: Firstly we would supply you with the “Cost Tracker” computer program, this effectively turns the “Spotlight” on your particular cost issues and most importantly fuel costs, and monitors the interventions accurately. Secondly we will supply you with Chornco 2082 Diesel additive (equally effective in petrol vehicles). Then we supply quality fuel efficiency driver training to any of your staff that require it or advise you on any of the other 420 fuel saving interventions on the market to lift your fleets performance.

If you are a private individual we can supply you with Chornco 2082 Diesel additive (equally effective in petrol vehicles) or any of the above as you require.

But is that cost effective?

Considering the savings you will make (between 10 and 20 %) I think it's as "Cheap as Chips"

Is the petroleum fuels price likely to come down in price anytime soon?

No and definitely not in the long term

Do you believe that Petroleum based fuels will one day run out?

In a word, Yes.

What can I do about that situation?

You could join our Drivertek International Drivers club (another Freebee) and receive our regular updates as we try to figure that one out together. You could also enter the competition on this website to wet you creative juices and start that inventive mind working.

Can I come to New Zealand on a working holiday?
Yes you can, New Zealand working holiday schemes allow 18 to 30 year olds from partner countries to spend 12 months in New Zealand and undertake temporary work.
On 22 November the Minister of Immigration and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced some major changes to the working holiday schemes New Zealand has with a number of other countries.  These changes will all take effect on 1 July 2005.
Three of the changes are as follows:

  • The number of places allocated to all working holiday schemes will be increased from 31,000 in 2004/05 to 36,000 in 2005/06 and 40,000 in 2006/07.
  • 10,000 extra places will be divided between the working holiday schemes for Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Ireland, Italy, Norway and the USA.
  • There will be no upper limit on the amount of places for the working holiday schemes for Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
This means you will now be able to work full time for up to 12 months with one employer.
    See www.immigration.govt.nz for more information.

Would I be able to get a class 2 learners licence in New Zealand with the full UK car driving licence I have held for over 20 years?
Yes you would, you will need to transfer your licence to a New Zealand one and then do our approved course for a class two licence. You can swat up on our road rules prior to arrival in NZ, sit your learner licence just after arrival and the approved course takes a full day. See class2 requirements on our Licence courses page.

Is Class 2 sufficient to get a job lorry driving?
Absolutely, most trucks in NZ are class 2 however it is the class 5 heavy vehicle driver that is in greatest demand and generally receives a larger hourly rate.

I also have a UK ADR (movement of hazardous goods) licence however I don’t think this is equivalent to anything in NZ.
Yes Drivertek regularly runs a Dangerous goods course and our certificate must then be hooked on to your licence as an endorsement. See D endorsement requirements on our Licence courses page.
